Why Does God Change How

He Interacts With Us? - TS Wright

This podcast episode delves into the intriguing question of why God, who declares that He does not change, appears to alter His interactions with humanity throughout biblical history.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau and Scott Wright explore instances in the Bible, such as the contrasting depictions of God in the Old Testament versus the New Testament, and how these shifts reflect the changing nature of human hearts and society.

They discuss pivotal moments, including God's relationship with Adam and Eve, His covenant with Moses, and the ultimate revelation through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The conversation highlights the significance of these changes in divine interaction, including the implications for believers today and the future as outlined in the Book of Revelation.

As they wrap up, they emphasize the importance of recognizing these patterns and preparing for the coming times, suggesting that while God remains constant, His approach to humanity adapts in response to our actions and needs.

Takeaways:

  • God's interactions with humanity have changed over time due to the heart of man.
  • While God remains the same, His approach to interacting with people has evolved.
  • The gift of the Holy Spirit represents a significant change in God's interaction with believers.
  • The story of Jonah exemplifies God's willingness to change His mind based on people's actions.
  • God's eventual judgment in Revelation is a reaction to humanity's refusal to repent.
  • Revival is possible, but historically, it tends to fade quickly after a short period.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Hello, everyone, everywhere.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Pastor Robert Thibodeau here.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Welcome to the Kingdom Crossroads podcast today.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

We're so blessed that you're joining us.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, in Malachi 3, verse 6, it's written, I, the Lord, I change not.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

But yet we can read instances in the Bible where God did change how he interacts with his people.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I mean, for example, God in the Old Testament seemed demanding, while Jesus portrayed God as being merciful and loving.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

That's just one example.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

But to discuss this subject in more detail, our good friend Scott Wright is back.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Today, Scott's been teaching us about different ages of the church and significant things that the Bible and history has to say about them.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

So help me.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Welcome back to the program, Scott Rice.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Scott, it's blessed to have you back with us today, buddy.

Scott Wright:

Hey, it's great to be here and look forward to more fun, fruitful discussions.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Let's jump right into this.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Why does God say, I change not, but yet it appears he changes how he interacts with his people.

Scott Wright:

Well, first of all, we definitely know that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Scott Wright:

And we know that.

Scott Wright:

And his Word doesn't change.

Scott Wright:

As a matter of fact, in Matthew 24, he says, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Scott Wright:

That means he would allow all life and everything in heaven and earth to be completely uprooted, destroyed, whatever, before his word would ever change.

Scott Wright:

Amen.

Scott Wright:

So that tells us his stability.

Scott Wright:

However, the heart of man is the ultimate answer as to why God has had to change his interaction with man over a period of time.

Scott Wright:

So let's we just go back to when he created Adam and then created the garden.

Scott Wright:

Put Adam in the garden.

Scott Wright:

You know, it started out as he put man in control of everything.

Scott Wright:

Then he obviously realized that Adam needed a helper, put him to sleep, created Eve in the garden, and then the two of them were to rule over that garden.

Scott Wright:

That's what they were to do.

Scott Wright:

But God, instead of just being there with him every second, he had them in a protective environment.

Scott Wright:

He didn't have to worry about them being killed or hurt or wounded in any way, physically or spiritually, unless they just simply disobeyed him, which they do in Genesis 3.

Scott Wright:

And in Genesis 3, we see the interaction, the interaction of God with man in general start to change.

Scott Wright:

Because once they eat of the tree, it completely changes the relationship.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

So God didn't have to be with them every second.

Scott Wright:

And obviously, one of the things that we have to realize is, is that we have the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Scott Wright:

But that has.

Scott Wright:

We got that later.

Scott Wright:

That didn't.

Scott Wright:

As far as in the timeline of, of human.

Scott Wright:

Human beings, that, that wasn't that way before.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

And so basically what God does is with Adam and Eve, he has to confront them.

Scott Wright:

He confronts them and then he removes them from the garden.

Scott Wright:

And as we've talked about, he did not let them eat from the tree of life.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Scott Wright:

Because they would have became an eternal sinful being, just like Satan was.

Scott Wright:

And they didn't.

Scott Wright:

And he didn't want them to be an eternally.

Scott Wright:

He didn't want them to be eternally in rebellion to God, to himself.

Scott Wright:

And so that's why he couldn't let them eat of that.

Scott Wright:

He gets them out of the garden and he starts becoming even more of a helper, like literally helping them.

Scott Wright:

But even then, God isn't quite interacting with people on the level that he does now.

Scott Wright:

That builds over time.

Scott Wright:

When we really start to see the massive change is really when the.

Scott Wright:

When Moses is sent to the Israelites in Exodus.

Scott Wright:

Now God start, you know, obviously he'd already called Abraham and there was interaction there, but then there's even more interaction with Moses and then it becomes constant.

Scott Wright:

And when he gives.

Scott Wright:

When he's.

Scott Wright:

When basically when he sends the plagues on Egypt.

Scott Wright:

But it's really that Passover, the first Passover is now when we see God interacting on a level on behalf of his people like we had never seen.

Scott Wright:

And he had done things before in the past, of course, and we saw that in Genesis.

Scott Wright:

That's not to say that God hadn't interacted, but this becomes a different level of interaction.

Scott Wright:

He completely wipes out through a series of events.

Scott Wright:

He wipes out in a whole segment of the.

Scott Wright:

Most of the strongest nation on earth to prove that he is God and to show his people that they can trust him.

Scott Wright:

And then he leads them through.

Scott Wright:

He gives Moses the law on the mountain, but he stays with the people all the time.

Scott Wright:

It is a constant interaction.

Scott Wright:

He is, he does all kinds of things for them.

Scott Wright:

They still rebel against him, as we know.

Scott Wright:

Finally, they cross over into the Jordan.

Scott Wright:

He's going before them in these battles.

Scott Wright:

He's preparing the land for them.

Scott Wright:

He's making these other nations fearful.

Scott Wright:

And basically they've won the fight before it even begins.

Scott Wright:

And over a period of time, they take the promised land and establish Jerusalem.

Scott Wright:

And they take.

Scott Wright:

They shift from the tabernacle to the temple.

Scott Wright:

And that temple becomes the symbol of God's presence with them all the time.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Well, yeah, I'M thinking about an instance where, you know, God told Jonah, go and preach to Nineveh because I'm going to destroy that place in a few days.

Scott Wright:

Exactly.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And then he.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And then he didn't.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

That kind of upset Jonah, too, didn't it?

Scott Wright:

Yeah, it did.

Scott Wright:

He was wanting them destroyed.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah, but that's where that's just popped in my head.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

That's an example of what.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

God said something and then changed his mind.

Scott Wright:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

Testing Jonah's heart.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

To see if he'd really obey him and to see if he really cared about those.

Scott Wright:

He cared about people like he did.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, I used.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I use Jonah because, you know, that's what convinced me to go into the ministry.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, I said before, when.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

When I got called, my calling was Ezekiel 2 and 3.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Right.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And chapters 2 and chapters 3.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And I fought it for like five months, about four months.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

No, no, no, no, no.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And then in late November, I was reading the book of Jonah, and the Holy Spirit said, do I need to do this to you?

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I was like, no.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

So are you going to be a preacher or what?

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, okay, I don't need.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I don't need to be swallowed by a whale or something like that to get me to go preach.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Okay, God, I give up.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I surrender, you know, but it was like, you know, study about Jonah, you know, his refusal to go, you know, and.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And God got his attention, let's put it like that.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

But then he changed his mind.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

He didn't do what he told him to do, you know, and so that's why I brought it up here today.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I mean, that.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

That upset Jonah, said, God, you said you're gonna do this.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I did what you told me to do.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And then you.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, and.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

So anyway, how does that relate to what we're talking about today?

Scott Wright:

Well, I mean, yeah, exactly.

Scott Wright:

I mean, it's God's interaction.

Scott Wright:

And so as time goes on, God starts interacting with the people more and more through the prophets.

Scott Wright:

Obviously, we have the Ages of the Kings, but it always seems like these prophets are the ones that he is interacting constantly with the people through them, through these prophets.

Scott Wright:

Even David gets confronted by God through the prophets over a period of time.

Scott Wright:

We, obviously, they are captured and taken into captivity into Babylon and then eventually come back and.

Scott Wright:

And finally God realizes.

Scott Wright:

I don't think he realizes he'd already had the plan, but he.

Scott Wright:

He decides he's going to act by sending his son to give us the ultimate victory and to ultimately release us from the issue that has Plagued man ever since Adam and Eve ate the fruit.

Scott Wright:

And that is he sends his son, Jesus.

Scott Wright:

Well, Jesus obviously, when he starts his ministry, we think he was about 30 years old.

Scott Wright:

Obviously he goes out and starts preaching and teaching and gathering his disciples and his all, all these other followers.

Scott Wright:

And then eventually he dies.

Scott Wright:

We know that, you know, he dies on the cross and for to basically release us from our sins.

Scott Wright:

And then he resurrected.

Scott Wright:

But while he was on earth, he kept telling his disciples that he needed to go away.

Scott Wright:

If he didn't go away, they weren't going to have what they really needed.

Scott Wright:

Because now we have this long history of human beings without the Holy Spirit.

Scott Wright:

And even with God in their presence, but not the Holy Spirit in their hearts, they would still rebel against God and his Word in his will.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

And so once Jesus dies, of course he ascends.

Scott Wright:

And then we have the Acts 2 Pentecost.

Scott Wright:

And now the Holy Spirit comes and lives in the hearts of man.

Scott Wright:

So God now is really changing his interaction in that.

Scott Wright:

Now he's putting his spirit in them.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

So that they have him all the time.

Scott Wright:

Because think about this.

Scott Wright:

Even before, even when Jesus was there, when they didn't, they didn't have the Holy Spirit in them, you know, they do go to sleep.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

There's times they're not right around him.

Scott Wright:

So the Holy Spirit is interacting with them in some ways, but they're not.

Scott Wright:

It's not permanently in them like they need.

Scott Wright:

And Jesus kept telling, you need the helper, you need the helper.

Scott Wright:

Well, now we have the Holy Spirit in us, and that is carried through Acts 2.

Scott Wright:

The Pentecost comes to them.

Scott Wright:

And as people receive Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit.

Scott Wright:

And that interaction is going to continue until obviously the end happens.

Scott Wright:

Now here's, here's something to think about in this re.

Scott Wright:

When you read the Book of Revelation, compare Revelation to the rest of the New Testament in.

Scott Wright:

In as fat in the.

Scott Wright:

In the regards of how God is interacting with people in those different scenarios.

Scott Wright:

Revelation is a very different interaction than any of the rest of the Bible.

Scott Wright:

This, this is on a level that human beings have never seen.

Scott Wright:

And this interaction is for those that receive Christ at that time.

Scott Wright:

Obviously they will have the Holy Spirit, but they're not going to have the protections of the church like they've had.

Scott Wright:

And just of the culture.

Scott Wright:

You know, we still have these cultural acceptances of Christian, of Christians, at least in some of the nations of the world.

Scott Wright:

Not every nation, obviously, but in our nation it is.

Scott Wright:

And the church is still there.

Scott Wright:

However, what we're seeing is.

Scott Wright:

We're even seeing that start to slowly dissipate.

Scott Wright:

And then eventually we're going to see all the Revelation stuff come to pass.

Scott Wright:

When that comes to pass, I just.

Scott Wright:

Just read it.

Scott Wright:

I mean, just sit back and read Revelation and look at the entire interaction of God with people.

Scott Wright:

It.

Scott Wright:

Well, if it's just a completely different interaction in anything we will have ever seen in human history.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And if God repented to destroy Nineveh when he said he was going to do it.

Scott Wright:

Yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Is it possible he's going to repent about destroying the Earth and the end times as well?

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I mean, you read about that in Revelation 21.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And will he say, you know what?

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Let's give him another thousand years?

Scott Wright:

So guess what?

Scott Wright:

Here's the difference.

Scott Wright:

He was testing Jonah with Revelation.

Scott Wright:

It is already written.

Scott Wright:

It's already written.

Scott Wright:

And that's the thing.

Scott Wright:

Revelation is his word.

Scott Wright:

He has already written.

Scott Wright:

He has told us what's going to happen.

Scott Wright:

And I actually believe, and I've.

Scott Wright:

The more that I've read the book of Revelation, it's really a reaction of God towards man, knowing that at some point in human history, man was going to completely and totally turn away from God.

Scott Wright:

Because what is the whole point of everything happened in the book of Revelation?

Scott Wright:

It's because people won't repent.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah, that's right.

Scott Wright:

I mean, at the end of the day, it's like if you as a group of people, as nations, will repent, this will stop.

Scott Wright:

But he already knows their hearts, they're not going to.

Scott Wright:

It's really as much a prediction as it is a foretelling.

Scott Wright:

You know, in some ways, he's just.

Scott Wright:

He knows the heart of man.

Scott Wright:

He knows this is going to happen because he knows man's heart will continue to drift away from him more and more and more.

Scott Wright:

So it is as much as him just knowing the heart and what he's going to have to do.

Scott Wright:

And it's like we've talked about before, he's going to squeeze the last ounce of every possible person that will receive him.

Scott Wright:

Because what I do believe will happen is that the multitudes will not repent.

Scott Wright:

But I do think there will be individuals that repent.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Oh, yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

I do believe that it just won't be prevalent.

Scott Wright:

There won't be a lot of them.

Scott Wright:

And then the end's going to come when really.

Scott Wright:

And I in it kind of in a.

Scott Wright:

In a sense at the end of that seven years, the last people who would have repent will repent.

Scott Wright:

And that's It.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

And God's gonna know that.

Scott Wright:

He knows that.

Scott Wright:

He knows.

Scott Wright:

He knows our hearts better than we do.

Scott Wright:

And so are there other.

Scott Wright:

What that's a reflection of.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Are there other instances where God changes how he interacts with his people?

Scott Wright:

You know, there, it's, it's funny you bring that up.

Scott Wright:

I mean, think about when he was on the mountain with Moses and he says, get out of my way because I'm going to go destroy your people and I'm going to give you a new people.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Scott Wright:

And Moses fast and prays and basically begs him.

Scott Wright:

And you know, in some ways I kind of wonder at that moment.

Scott Wright:

I know God was angry and was going to destroy them and supposedly Moses talks him out of it by through prayer and fasting.

Scott Wright:

But I kind of wonder if God was also testing the heart of Moses a little bit.

Scott Wright:

Like, okay, you need to be the leader and you need to do this.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

Okay, you need to go down there and handle them and you're gonna have to get used to doing this because this is how they are.

Scott Wright:

They're stiff necked, as he calls them.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, it's funny because I can relate to that.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, there have been times like God, I just, just wipe them all out, let's start over type thing, you know, and you know, and here God said, you know what, I'm God, I'll just start this whole process all over again.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know.

Scott Wright:

The thing is, is he had done that already through Noah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

You know, we'd already been there, done that.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

So it is like I said, I wouldn't flood the earth.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Ain't nothing saying I just erase it like an eraser, you know.

Scott Wright:

You know, you kind of wonder would have been plague is how he'd have done it.

Scott Wright:

Yeah, yeah.

Scott Wright:

I mean, that would have been an easy way for him to do it.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yep.

Scott Wright:

You could done plague.

Scott Wright:

He could have had, I mean, hey, could I had the earth just open up and swallow him?

Scott Wright:

I mean, done that before.

Scott Wright:

Done that before.

Scott Wright:

I mean, you know, there was actually.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

He hadn't done it at that point in time yet.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

So.

Scott Wright:

Right.

Scott Wright:

Not just at that moment, but he was going to.

Scott Wright:

So.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Scott Wright:

Wow.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I know that we are working towards the end times.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I mean, we're right there at the precipice and you know, people can try and rationalize it all they want, but you know, what's written, as you said, is written.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And God said his word will never fail.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

It will come to pass.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And I believe we're wrapping this all up fairly quickly in the natural.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I'll use an example.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I'm familiar with flying an airplane, okay.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

As a pilot, you're taught to stay ahead of the airplane while you're flying it.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

That means monitoring.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Be aware of your situation at all times.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Your speed, your altitude, your attitude.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And it's especially important as you are preparing to land or during takeoff.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Of course.

Scott Wright:

Course.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

But when you're preparing to land, you know, a lot of things have to happen very quickly and in sequence, you know, and most crashes occur basically due to stalling.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And if you're too focused on lining up with the Runway or talking on the radio, you know, you may be going too slow and haven't dropped your flaps yet for that extra lift, and all of a sudden you flip and you go into a spin.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Now, you're trained to recover from spins, but at low altitude, you don't have time to react and land.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

But you're gonna land.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

I mean, there's no doubt you will land that plane one way or another.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Landing you can walk away from.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Right.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

But as it relates to the end times and how we're wrapping all this up and that God is gonna play it out just as it's written, I mean, I believe we're too far behind the plane to turn around at this point in time.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Any type of good outcome.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

This whole thing is about to crash for the people, and it's going to crash hard.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

What are your thoughts on that?

Scott Wright:

Amen.

Scott Wright:

I mean, I think that's exactly what's going to happen.

Scott Wright:

We're.

Scott Wright:

We're heading in a direction.

Scott Wright:

I believe that there's going to be one more great revival.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

But other than that, I don't.

Scott Wright:

I don't see that holding long, which.

Scott Wright:

Most of those great revival.

Scott Wright:

Most great revivals in the past have lasted a small period of time, and then they fade.

Scott Wright:

You know, even.

Scott Wright:

Even the great revival itself really stayed strong for.

Scott Wright:

It was really strong for about 10, 12 years.

Scott Wright:

It still extended beyond that.

Scott Wright:

But I'm talking about just the.

Scott Wright:

Just the real excitement of it.

Scott Wright:

You know, you go back, it really.

Scott Wright:

t really exploded in the late:

Scott Wright:

And then it.

Scott Wright:

I'm not going to say it fizzled out at that moment, but it started to slow way down.

Scott Wright:

The same thing with the Jesus revolution.

Scott Wright:

I mean, it culminated with explo 72 in June of 72.

Scott Wright:

You know, we see.

Scott Wright:

We see the movie and, you know, you had Chuck Smith and Lonnie Frisbee and that whole.

Scott Wright:

All of that.

Scott Wright:

That happened.

Scott Wright:

But again, it.

Scott Wright:

It went and then it fizzled out eventually.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

The Brownsville revival, I mean, that lasted about 18 months or so, and then it started waning away, you know, and.

Scott Wright:

I.

Scott Wright:

I think we're going to see a massive revival.

Scott Wright:

I think it's going to happen.

Scott Wright:

But then just like all the other revivals, it'll fade off.

Scott Wright:

And then I think that's going to be it.

Scott Wright:

I mean, there's going to be a.

Scott Wright:

There's going to be a great awakening, but then it'll fizzle out and then that plane is going to start its hard descent y.

Scott Wright:

And it's going to be so close to the ground.

Scott Wright:

And like you said, we're not flying the airplane like it should be flown and not staying ahead.

Scott Wright:

And it's going to hit with a big old thud.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, it's sticking up out in the.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Out in the yard.

Scott Wright:

We used to tell, when I was coaching softball, we used to teach him how to slide.

Scott Wright:

We said we want you to land like an airplane supposed to.

Scott Wright:

Not a helicopter.

Scott Wright:

Be the airplane.

Scott Wright:

You know, you want to land and glide through it.

Scott Wright:

Not.

Scott Wright:

That's it.

Scott Wright:

Well, yeah, I have a feeling that man's gonna hit more like a.

Scott Wright:

Hit the ground like a.

Scott Wright:

Out of control helicopter than it is a nice gliding airplane on the landing.

Scott Wright:

So it's.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And that's.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And that's where Jesus comes in.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

He's the.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

The air between the under air under your wings.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

The.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

The lift that you need right at that exact moment.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know.

Scott Wright:

You know the old movie left behind with Kirk Cameron in it at the very beginning, he said we should have known better, but we didn't.

Scott Wright:

What does it matter what you believe?

Scott Wright:

Because in the end, there'll be no denying the truth.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

I mean, right.

Scott Wright:

And.

Scott Wright:

But he's.

Scott Wright:

When he says.

Scott Wright:

When he quotes that, and I'm quoting him, in the end, there'll be no denying the truth.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

That's right.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Scott Wright:

And how this exactly looks and plays out.

Scott Wright:

It will be.

Scott Wright:

It'll.

Scott Wright:

I think it'll be unimaginable.

Scott Wright:

I mean, we'll.

Scott Wright:

We have a sense of it from reading Revelation, but it's one thing to read something in a story.

Scott Wright:

It's another three thing to experience the pores that are unimaginable.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

There'll be no denying it.

Scott Wright:

No.

Scott Wright:

And no running from it.

Scott Wright:

You ain't going to hide from it.

Scott Wright:

You can't move to another country to get out of this war.

Scott Wright:

I mean, it's everywhere.

Scott Wright:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

I mean, we're talking about monstrous amounts of populations of the world.

Scott Wright:

25, a third.

Scott Wright:

I mean you, you see that, that's, that's beyond comprehension.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yep.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

As we get ready to wrap up, I'll just leave with this thought again for my flight training time.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

There was a saying that we learned when we first started, said any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Any landing where you can use the plane again is called an excellent landing.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And I think we're going to be, you know, as believers, we're going to be able to walk away, but the plane will never be used again.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

This whole thing is going to crash and it's going to crash hard.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And, and I'll just leave it at that.

Scott Wright:

I, I'll give you a good wrap up on that.

Scott Wright:

If you've ever seen the movie Star Wars.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Oh yeah.

Scott Wright:

And you see how the Republic falls.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yep.

Scott Wright:

And then the dark times that happen with the Empire and then the Empire falls.

Scott Wright:

When they remake the Republic.

Scott Wright:

It's never the same.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Scott Wright:

It's not the same as the old Republic.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

That's right.

Scott Wright:

And in it's gone.

Scott Wright:

And once it's gone, there's no getting it back.

Scott Wright:

And I don't think.

Scott Wright:

And I think that'll be the case here.

Scott Wright:

The, in Revelation tells us that.

Scott Wright:

Read Revelation chapter 21.

Scott Wright:

That was the culminating passage, chapter of all of what we were just talking about in that.

Scott Wright:

Exactly what is he going to have to do?

Scott Wright:

He's going to have to remake Heaven and Earth and he's going to have to remake the Earth because imagine what the Earth is going to look like.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yeah.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Yep.

Scott Wright:

And it won't be pretty.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know that in the 80s when Reagan was president, they had that term mutual annihilation.

Scott Wright:

Yep.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

You know, and that's what's going to happen.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

It's.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

There will not be a habitable place left.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

And all I can say is thank you, Jesus, getting us out of here early.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Someone get in touch with you?

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

They have any questions or maybe they want like this.

Pastor Robert Thibodeau:

Robert Thibodeau

I am a 12 year Army veteran as both enlisted and as a commissioned Cavalry Officer.
I am now a retired law enforcement supervisor...

I had my own business for seven years before I entered law enforcement.

As a cop, I was injured on the job on May 12, 2007 and after several surgeries over a couple of years, forced to retire in 2011.

As I was looking down the road to “what am I going to do next?” I started what is now known as a podcast (I had no clue at the time).

Within six months of starting (what I called) “My online radio program” I was offered an opportunity to be on nationwide AM radio. I learned A LOT in one year of doing that!

I then started the online Christian radio platform "Evangelism Radio" in the fall of 2010. It has had listeners in 160+ nations and all 50 states. We host 50+ Christian broadcasters on a weekly basis. We have been operating 24/7 for almost 14 years now. We have been rated #1 in the world by Shoutcast. com on several occasions in our genre. We recently transferred ownership of Evangelism Radio to another ministry so I could concentrate full time on podcasting, preaching and writing.

In 2018, I started the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast to conduct interviews with Christian influencers from all walks of life and to play their interviews on the radio station. (The KCR Podcast has its own time slot on Evangelism Radio)!
We now have over 1600 episodes and almost 1100 interviews (in just over 6 years).

Looking out at the future of online Christian media, I noticed there was no viable platforms that catered only to the Christian podcast market.

In 2023, we launched a networking platform called, "FaithCasters" which connects "Great Christian podcasters with Great Christian Guests!" This helps to promote the work you do through podcast interviews! Check it out at https://FaithCaster.org

We recently launched "FaithCaster Academy" which serves as a training hub for ALL of our trainings (podcast training / speaker training / interview training, etc.). Members receive access to ALL of our training programs for one low, monthly membership fee. Members also receive FREE access to ALL of the LIVE trainings I conduct (1 or 2 per month) - while non-members have to pay to access the live trainings.

Between my podcast training program, conducting podcast interviews, appearing on other podcasts as guests, speaking at conferences (in person and virtually) and the podcast networking platform, I guess you could say “I’m all in” when it comes to podcasting and online media!

My total focus is to do all we can to assist you to “Get The Word Out” about your mission, services, products, ministry, books, business, etc.
